How Often Should You Have Your Carpets Professionally Cleaned?
By Mr Expert Carpet Cleaning, Slough · Updated
A common guideline is a professional carpet clean about once a year. Homes with pets, young children or lots of foot traffic often benefit from every six months. Vacuum regularly in between and treat spills quickly.
What changes the answer
Pets. Hair, dander and the odd accident build up faster.
Children. Spills, crumbs and play on the floor mean more frequent marks.
Foot traffic. Hallways, stairs and living rooms wear first.
Shoes indoors. Outdoor dirt is carried straight into the pile.
